A Message from Nazy - "Great news for Dre's fan club"
Dear Family & Friends,
We wanted to share a lovely addition to our home with you. In order for those of you that have not been over to our home recently to see what a remarkable improvement Andres AKA 'Dre' has made, here's a photo of him to get you all as excited as we are!
Yes, he's standing up in a "Standing Frame"!! This machine was researched intensely by no other than Dre's amazing friend, neighbor & swimming coach AKA Master Brian. As you can see the two of them are very proud & confident about this new position that Andres is in:) The best title I could think of that gets me pumped up is 'Buffalo Stance' (for those of you that don't remember the 90's, listen to the chorus of Neneh Cherry's song on youtube and dance your heart out and scream for joy (I am!!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EQCOshGwPI
We'd like to make a formal thank you to Master Brian because we could not have found this machine without your help, your diligence and your love that you continue to display to Dre. MB, thank you for your loveliness!!!! Since we're not in the radio business, we wanted to give you an official "shout-out" through the loudest broadcasting available to us (dre's website/Blog) and thank you for all the support and time you have spent since the accident to make this new stance happen. We appreciate all the time you spend every single week, even though you have school, several jobs & social priorities. We love you Brian and keep you and your hot Peruvian bride, Vivianna, in our daily prayers.
Next BIG news: We have officially moved and our new address is 1025 Island Avenue #410, San Diego, CA 92101-yup it's across the street!
We would like to thank all of you, our family and friends, that truly went out of your way to help us with making the move possible, as you know, we could not have done it without you! It was AMAZING and tears just fell down my face throughout the move and the entire week thereafter because I could not believe the amount of hard work you have all made to help us out. We hope that we can one day be as great to each of you as you are and have been to us. My God, you showed up days before to help us pack, obtain boxes & tape to make this move as seamless as possible and it was truly perfect. Honestly, to take the time out of your extremely busy schedules to come and give a helping hand and help us pack, carry boxes, take down, build, unpack, organize and move us into our new home is well appreciated and we are so touched.
One thing that we regret is that we don't have pictures to share with all of you, just the memories that we have in our hearts that we'll never forget. All of you beautiful people working sooo hard-wow, we're speechless...
For those of you that have recently shared your great news with us that we're going to have additional nieces and nephews, we are THRILLED to be a part of your new experiences and can't wait to meet him & her, congratulations!!
On another note, we need your help with something really important. We have a dear friend that made the move to Vegas a couple of years ago and recently, the company went under leaving him without an income that has been due to him as well as leaving him with some financial hardship & no health insurance. Now all of you know how important it is to have that! In addition to many years of experience wearing various hats within this & other companies, he also has about 9 years of Bar tending experience. Can any of you help him out by referring him to any and many of the contacts/business owners/bars/hotels/restaurants you know? If so,please let us know and we'll pass on his info. (Thanks!)
As always, we love you and look forward to seeing your beautiful faces very soon.
Andres, his biggest fan & his kid

A Holiday Message from Nazy................
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our dear Family & Friends.
For all of you that have truly gone out of your way to plan, coordinate and participate in the Fund Raisers and our daily routines, home repairs, motivational audio books you provided, software purchases to help Andres, we are very grateful to you.
The joy and peace you have brought into our lives cannot easily be put into words. With the help of all of you, your talents, your cooking, your visits, your donations, the coordination of the donations you have provided through your circle of friends, families & colleagues, we have been fortunate enough to obtain the various therapy and caregiver needs our family has been in need of these past few months.
The time that you have taken out of your extremely busy lives to come to our home (and fly/drive) to San Diego and help give us positive energy, play with Felix and display your love is deeply appreciated and we cannot ever thank you enough.
Andres has experienced an amazing amount of positive healing and sensations these past few months and minute by minute, day by day, he continues to show additional movement throughout his entire body. From the many experts, there are so many positive signs of healing due to all the therapy he has been engaged with.
With all of YOUR help, prayers and love as well as his incredible drive to constantly heal, he has been blessed with using the best type of equipment and seeing the very best help which include, Spinal cord Surgeon, Spinal cord physician, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Massage Therapist, Energy Healing treatments, Cranial Sacrum treatments, Healing touch Therapist, Urologist, Podiatrist, Acupuncturist, Swimming Physical Therapist (which includes Bryan our neighbor that has graciously accepted to help Andres with PT at the pool in Mission Beach during the week...as if Bryan is not busy enough!) and last but not least our very own Boris that has gone out of his way to make sure to transport Andres to some of these appointments safely & soundly.
As you can see, he has been very busy doing this and working diligently on the laptop that Mick provided to him so that he can begin working on his book to help others with the same type of injury.
We are also very thankful to those beautiful cards & pictures that continue to come our way. We are saddened that we cannot be a part of all of your events and appreciate your invitations and understanding.
For those of you that are expecting a new baby, congratulations from us...we wish you the best pregnancy and look forward to seeing our nieces & nephews soon.
With that said, during this time of Thanksgiving, we'd like you to know that we are extremely lucky to have you in our lives and we could not have done it without all of you these past few months. We wish all of you a safe, happy & healthy Holiday Season and look forward to seeing all of you soon.
Please pass this email along to anyone that we do not have email information for and please continue to add those folks to Karla's distribution list so that we can personally thank each and everyone of them for their prayers & generosity.
Love, Andres, Nazy & Felix

Fundraisers continue to be a success....
Hi Everyone,
I'm a little behind on the news, so I apologize for my absence due to busy times. The 10/11 Music Bash and 11/08 Museum Fundraisers have been wonderful events!
The Music Groups at the Music Bash entertained us with awesome music during the night. A group of us couldn't help ourselves and we hit the dancefloor! There were some crazy moves happening that night, I won't mention any names, but everyone knows that a certain Super Hero impressed us with his abilities. It was also the biggest raffle I've ever seen! There were so many items donated by our generous crowd that the majority of folks went home with a gift. The event raised a little over $5,000.....amazing! We still can't believe it! Thank you Clint and Eli our main organizers for such a great event! Good times for a good cause! Please send me a few pics you may want to share with our site readers.
Then we have the 11/8 Museum Fundraiser. Once again the amount of donated items was amazing! The tables were filled with items for the silent and live auction (hotel night certificates, a dinner at Nobu, one week vacations, massages, paintings, yoga classes, etc.). We were able to enjoy delicious food and drinks while competiting for items on auction. Our organizer, Randy Gorman, will be giving us the final count for the funds raised very soon. We can already guess it's going to be a big number. Thank you Randy!

Ist Fundraiser a Success!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the generosity you offered Andres! It looked like the stock exchange with everyone waiving their checkbooks trying to buy all the items offered. The neighbors at M2i did a spectacular job organizing the event with wonderful food and wine. I went early to try and help and they had everything already organized. You are hired as event planners!
This event has raised $9,695! WOW!
This will give my brother the opportunity to have access to all the services (i.e. custodial care) and tools (rented equipment) he needs in order to continue his journey. He is so driven to work hard and now he won't be held back by insurance company restrictions.
For people who came to the 9/24 event: Three raffle items were not claimed. The winning ticket numbers were: 912007, 912215, 911928. Each won a $20.00 gift certificate to MAK Cleaners. One silent auction item, the Padres gift pack, was also not claimed. If you believe you had the winning bid or have a winning raffle ticket, please call Dee Thompson at 619-232-1875. Unclaimed prizes will be donated to the Pineda Family.
A big "thank you" to Chad Cavanaugh for providing the music! He will be playing at Cane's in Mission Beach on Wednesday, October 22nd, at 8:00pm. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased by writing to him at chad.cavanaugh@yahoo.com.
